The company has four different types, Ordinary Nguvu coffee, Factory Fresh Coffee, Classic Coffee and Roasted Coffee Beans.
This coffee is processed from dark roasted Arabica coffee beans that are finely ground. It is very sweet in flavour with a bitter element. The coffee is grown in mountainous regions due to their access to fresh water and fertile soils. These coffee beans are supplied by farmers from central and western parts of Ugandan including Mbale (Mount Elgon) and Kasese (Rwenzori Mountain Range).

Biomass Briquettes are clean burning fuels capable of producing long lasting heat for efficient cooking and heating. Agro-waste materials, from sawdust to coffee husks, are ground, heated and compressed to produce our high value solid fuel briquette.
Our biomass briquettes have a density of around 650kg/m3 with a diameter of 60mm. They are highly acceptable to institutional kitchens and can burn directly in existing stoves with minor modifications.
Our briquettes burn with greater heat energy compared to traditional fuels. They burn for a longer period of time and thus is are more economical fuel for our customers.
This clean fuel burns with smaller flames and less smoke emissions compared to firewood. Creating a more hygienic cooking environment and reducing the risk of health problems for the users.
Uganda’s natural resources are under pressure. Using organic materials to produce a clean-burning fuel helps stop widespread deforestation, reduces carbon emissions and decreases excessive waste.
Proven a popular alternative to fossil fuels in North America, Europe and India. Now, the demand for biomass briquettes in Uganda is growing – NGUVU promises to meet this demand.
Our energy-saving briquette stoves are made from clay fire-bricks and designed with an insulated combustion chamber to ensure that heat is retained and food is cooked efficiently.
We manufacture permanent and portable heavy-duty stoves for households, institutions and industrial factories.
Our stoves are affordable, readily available thus saving on time. The stoves also consume less fuel compared to other sources of fuel as it retains heat due to its insulated chamber and briquettes are fed in at a time.
Our stoves are geared towards the Millenium Development Goal 7 “Need for immediate action to contain rising greenhouse gas emissions to mitigate climate change”. As they consume less fuel and have reduced CO2 emissions.
Our modern and highly efficient Energy-Saving Stoves not only conserves the amount of fuel consumed but also promotes a clean, cool and smoke free cooking environment for the users of the briquettes.
“Particulates generated from this incomplete combustion of firewood are dangerous for one’s health – Biomass Briquettes are cleaner and smoke free” Abasi K. Musisi, KJS Managing Director.
